Champions to champion music businesses


The music industry is much more than just an act standing centre stage in the spotlight. While of course, they are at the forefront of the industry, there are various other businesses, establishments and individuals that work together to complement this act, who often go unrecognised.

The annual Live Music Business Awards – which this year are taking place on 12 October at Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London – celebrate the unsung heroes of the contemporary music industry.

The likes of ‘Agent of the Year’, ‘Tour Manager of the Year’, ‘Best Venue Teamwork’ and ‘Best Festival’ (with a capacity between 15,000-39,000), will be celebrated on the night and the latter is a category which has caught the eye of sponsor and leading booking agency, Champions Music & Entertainment.

On the night, representatives from Champions Music & Entertainment will present the award to the winner which will be one of the following three finalists: Green Man Festival, Latitude or Secret Garden Party.

Each of these festivals offer music lovers a fantastic festival experience – the Green Man Festival is an indie, folk and dance festival in Wales, Latitude takes place in Suffolk and showcases indie artists and Secret Garden Party offers festival-goers the best of rock, reggae and dance.
