Elvis had a huge impact on Craig’s life, the young star in the making began shadowing the King of Rock n’ Roll at the age of 5, mimicking every move, and vocal change. This led Craig to share remarkably similar mannerisms to the late, great Elvis Presley. Craig’s professional singing career began over twenty years ago with a spot performing at Barry Island Holiday Park. From there he moved onto Butlins and eventually earned the lead acting role in the musical The Crazy Horse Saloon providing the young singer with experience in stagecraft and touring.
While the early years saw Craig perform a range of characters it wasn’t until his wife’s great-grandmother’s 90th birthday that he rediscovered Elvis. There was no turning back and ‘My Way… A Tribute to Elvis’ was born. This event was a blessing as Craig’s act went on to great acclaim with an impressive trophy cabinet to his name. In 2007, he was a finalist in the European Ultimate Elvis Heats and graced BBC 1 for the anniversary of Elvis’ death. In the same year, he also won the Porthcawl Best Elvis Festival.
The following year saw even more success with Craig reaching the finals of the ‘Walk a Golden Mile in my Shoes Contest’. He was the champion of the 2008 Rendezvous Rivals Elvis Competition and even managed a feature for the Christmas Special of BBC 1’s hit comedy series ‘Gavin and Stacey’. Craig’s success is attributed to three key factors. His voice is second to none, being blessed with a wonderful singing voice from a young age. His costume is incredibly detailed with jumpsuits that would be at home in Las Vegas and Graceland. His mannerisms and crowd work are the final touches to a truly unmissable show.
Craig’s act is versatile with a full backing band for large corporate entertainment or concerts, while he can also perform as a solo act with a backing track for private parties and weddings.
