Known as one of the former presenters of Friday Download she released her debut album Introducing Dionne Bromfield in 2009 by Lioness Records label which belonged to Amy Winehouse. However, it wasn't until her performance with Amy Winehouse on Strictly Come Dancing till she finally got her deserved attention. Dionna was actually the first ever artist to be signed to Winehouse's record label. 25 September 2005 Dionne once again shared the stage with music legend Amy Winehouse for the Prince's Trust End of Summer Ball which was a huge career moment for Dionne.
In 2011 Dionne collaborated with Tinchy Strider to rewrite Spinnin' for 2012, a song that was initially written and recorded by Speech Debelle. The song was released in September 2011 and announced as the first official song for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Dionne has performed at many significant venues and in 2011 she performed at London's Roundhouse with The Wanted, much to the audience's delight she was joined on stage by Amy Winehouse however this turned out to be Winehouse's last public appearance before her death.
Only two hours after Winehouse's death was announced Dionne performed at Ponty's Big Weekend in Pontypridd which only emphasises the passion and fight she has as an artist. Only a year later Dionne performed at her first gig outside of the UK, proving her success without her godmother was still possible. She performed at the Summer Soul Festival at São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. Dionne released an extremely emotive single in honour to her godmother, called Black Butterfly which was inspired by Amy Winehouse's funeral service.
