Lucy O’Byrne is a talented classical singer, who rose to fame after competing on the fourth series of The Voice and finishing as the runner-up. Born to a family full of performers, Lucy gathered her experience and expertise as a performer studying at Bull Alley Theatre Training Company, Song & Dance in Baldoyle and with the famed Soprano Kathryn Smith. After gaining education in performance, Lucy moved from Dublin to London to pursue her dreams, working on the West End as an usher before taking to the spotlight. Her first musical performance saw her join the cast of Therese Raquin at the famed The Park Theatre. In 2013, Lucy auditioned for The Voice, where she was able to land a place on Will.I.Am’s team.
Revealing that ‘The Voice changed my life’, Lucy is now seen performing in some of the biggest musicals and stage shows on West End, wowing audiences with her acting skills and immense classical vocals. Remaining the only classical singer to reach the finals of The Voice, Lucy has since starred in The Sound of Music, Les Misérables and Evita. Already in her career, Lucy has also had the opportunity to perform with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, RTE and BBC Concert Orchestras.
Having performed at venues such as the Olympia Theatre, The Cardiff Millennium Centre and The London Palladium, Lucy is a consummate performer who is available to hire as a classical singer for a range of events.
