Up and coming comedian, Michael Odewale has been recognised on the BBC New Talent Hotlist 2017 and as the winner of Best New Show at the Leicester and Hastings Comedy Festivals. Gaining a following for his distinctive comedy genius, Michael first began making audiences chuckle whilst studying at university. Having since performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Leicester Comedy Festival, Michael has become a popular addition to a range of public and private events, booked time and time again for his ability to entertain an audience.
First performing at university, Michael has since performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy events. He has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival and recognised as a finalist for the Chortle Student Comedy Award. He has also been invited to star on the likes of Mock the Week and Chris Ramsey’s Stand Up Central to name but a few. Michael has turned his hand to comedy writing also, having appeared in his own mini sketch Comedians In Quarantine and assisted as a co-writer of Death to 2020.
Performing his debut show #BlackBearsMatter, Michael has a distinctive comedy style and unfiltered voice. Having also been nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award 2016, Michael is quickly becoming a staple performer on the comedy circuit. Other tv credits of Michael’s include BBC Presents: Stand Up For Live Comedy, Comedians Solve World Problems and The Mash Report. Having also won The Pleasance Comedy Reserve in 2018, Michael is guaranteed to have audiences at all manner of events in stitches.
