Tobias Turley is one of the most exciting emerging stars of British musical theatre, recognised for his exceptional vocal talent, charismatic stage presence and rapidly growing career across the West End and beyond. Rising to national fame as the winner of ITV's ‘Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream’ in 2023, Tobias secured the coveted role of 'Sky' in the West End production of ‘Mamma Mia!’ at London's Novello Theatre. Since then, he has continued to captivate audiences through a series of acclaimed performances, earning recognition as one of HELLO! Magazine's Rising Stars of 2024 and a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best Take Over Performance. With a growing fanbase of more than 80,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, Tobias has become one of musical theatre's most promising young performers.
A graduate of the Guildford School of Acting, where he trained in musical theatre, Tobias developed his craft through a variety of stage productions before achieving mainstream recognition. Early roles included appearances in ‘The Nutcracker’ at the Royal Albert Hall, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘West Side Story’ and Giovanni Pernice's UK tour ‘This Is Me’. In 2022, he joined the cast of ‘Heathers the Musical’ as Kurt Kelly while understudying the role of JD, further demonstrating his versatility as both a singer and actor. These experiences laid the foundations for his breakthrough success and established him as a rising talent within the theatre industry.
Following his television triumph, Tobias has continued to build an impressive portfolio of leading roles. Alongside his celebrated run in ‘Mamma Mia!’, he has starred in productions including ‘White Rose’, ‘Hot Mess’, and ‘Cinderella’, where he played Prince Charming. In 2024, he also performed as a featured vocalist in ‘Doctor Who at the BBC Proms’. His success has continued into 2026 with major leading roles as Theodore "Laurie" Laurence in ‘Jo – The Little Women Musical’ and Troy Bolton in the highly anticipated revival of ‘High School Musical’, one of the most eagerly awaited musical productions of the year. Tobias also expanded his presence beyond performance in 2026 when he appeared as a presenter at the renowned West End LIVE festival in London's Trafalgar Square.
