Alex Party is an Italian four-piece electronic dance music band made up of brothers Paolo and Gianni Visnadi, singer and songwriter, Shanie Campbell and DJ Alex Natale, specialising in Euro house. Their most well-known song “Don’t Give Me Your Life” reached no. 2 in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, and cemented their name across the whole of the UK and Ireland as one of the up and coming bands of the 90s. Still popular today, they have expanded their reach to all corners of the world and have reached a total of 300k monthly listeners globally on Spotify.
First formed in 1993, the band was only a three-piece when they released their first single ‘Read My Lips (Saturday Night Party)’ which was an immediate success and even became an Ibiza anthem, listened to by thousands. This first track was such a hit it was later included in music collections such as ‘Now Dance 95’, ‘ID&T Top 500 Dancetracks’. Realising the band’s potential to have a hit single with a lead singer, they then recruited Shanie Campbell, a British-born singer, to the group, to try and make this dream a reality.
After Shanie joined the group, they released the single ‘Don’t Give Me Your Love’ which reached an incredible no. 2 in the CIN charts, and even topped the Club Record category at the 1995 Music Week Awards. Featuring in compilation albums such as ‘Now That’s What I Call Music! 30’ and ‘Hit Machine 30’, the band gained world-wide recognition. The band would later release their first album ‘Alex Party’, which included hits such as ‘Wrap Me Up’ and ‘Simple Things’.
