Aljaž Škorjanec and Janette Manrara are internationally acclaimed dancers, choreographers and television personalities best known for their appearances as professional dancers on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. The pair first met while performing in the worldwide tour of the acclaimed Broadway dance production Burn the Floor. During the London leg of the tour, they caught the attention of the producers of Strictly Come Dancing and were invited to join the hugely successful BBC series. Aljaž joined the programme in 2013 and quickly became a fan favourite, renowned for his creativity and technical excellence. A 19-time dance champion, he is highly accomplished across Ballroom, Latin and Ten Dance disciplines, creating memorable Salsa, Rumba, Quickstep and Samba routines. Janette originally specialised in Salsa after taking up dance at the age of 19 and first gained international recognition through the American television series So You Think You Can Dance, where she impressed judges before returning as an All-Star performer.
Together, Aljaž and Janette became one of Strictly Come Dancing's most loved professional partnerships. Aljaž achieved victory in his debut series by lifting the Glitterball Trophy alongside Abbey Clancy, while Janette built a reputation for energetic choreography and inspiring performances throughout her time on the programme.
