Having begun as a result of a newspaper advert response looking for musicians, Raff Achour and James Hogg met up in a pub and proceeded to set about creating one of the best Led Zeppelin tribute acts to date. It’s been an interesting tale since their beginnings in 1995. From cutting their teeth playing gigs in London and learning their repertoire, the band has gone from strength to strength performing for crowds of up to 1500.
Following this, the band were invited to perform for Sky News and Channel 5 as a warm up to Led Zeppelin’s O2 Arena show. The current band is made up of 4 talented musicians. Raff Achour, as the incredible Jimmy Page, is a master of guitar drawing inspiration from the likes of Queen, The Who, Pink Floyd and of course Led Zeppelin. As the only band member retained from their inception he has a wealth of knowledge and knows the ropes of performing on large as well as small stages.
Jesse Smith takes the lead as Robert Plant. The accomplished actor and singer has performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, LanXESS Arena and many others. He is an incredible showman with stints on the West End to his name. Jesse has done his bit for charity helping to create the Oxjam Reading Takeover, which raised over £12,000 for Oxfam. Matheu Martin is an incredible drummer and emulates John Bonham to a tee.
His timing and power must be seen to be believed. James Watson rounds out the band. As John Paul Jones, he is an amazing bass player but is equally adept with the keys, mandolin, and bass pedals. All in all, the band is a supergroup of talent. They are at home performing on stage with pyrotechnics, dry ice, costumes, and stage props, while equally adept at playing an intimate acoustic set. Whether you’re looking for a show stopper to get your concert rocking or corporate entertainment for your employees and clients, there is no better Led Zeppelin tribute band around.
This successful live rock band have a large fan base and booking is essential given their hectic tour schedule.
