At 14, Steve discovered George Michael's music through MTV, sparking a lifelong passion. For the next 30 years, he followed George Michael fanatically, always singing his songs in private. Despite performing in various cover bands in the UK and the United States, Steve never publicly covered George Michael until 2017, when he applied for a touring show as a George Michael vocalist. Since then, Steve has performed across the UK and Europe.
In 2018, Steve met Dave West at a performance at the Clapham Grand Theatre in London. Dave, the original bassist for Wham! brings authenticity to the music, having played on the original demos for hits like ‘Careless Whisper’ and ‘Wham Rap’. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists like Bonnie Tyler, Boy George, and Brian May. After years of declining tribute offers, Dave was impressed by Steve’s performance and joined the tribute band.
The band also features Jay Patel on keyboards, known for his work with Carl Mackintosh of Loose Ends. Jay balances his musical career with his day job as a Chartered Engineer, managing wireless systems for major UK events. Guitarist Ray Uren, who started playing at age 12, honed his skills across prestigious venues, developing proficiency in various music styles. Drummer Deano Rice brings versatility across pop, rock, funk, jazz, and reggae. Accomplished percussionist Lester Osborne has played and recorded globally with top society, party, and Latin bands, enhancing the band's sound. Backing vocalists Alisha Ayles and Emma Skelly add a special touch to the performances.
