Corina Kwami is a Ghanaian American multi-talented performer who blends both her roots and experience living in over 10 countries all over the world in different continents including Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Corina uses her music to connect people of all faiths and cultures. Having been described as a “modern Renaissance woman”, Corina uses both the arts and sciences to tell a story, creating experiences which flow together beautifully. Corina Kwami’s Quartet features a mix of the piano/guitar, voice, bass and vocals and brings together the genres of jazz, Latin, Samba and Bossa Nova beautifully and skilfully. When performing with her quartet, Corina adds her own spin on well-known classic songs. The quartet performed all over the world and Corina has developed an incredible ability to tell a story using her music.
Corina’s second project, Jazz Age Dance Bands is a quartet which can be expanded into a 5 or 6 piece band which embraces music and dance of the 20s, 30s and 40s. Pangea, Corina’s third project, has been inspired by North America, Africa, South America and Europe. She, along with a guitar duo/piano duo, blends the sounds from these different continents, combining jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin and soul sounds to wow the audience with a combination of music they have never heard before for an unforgettable performance.
