Creating his very own sound which consists of a mixture of grime, garage, drum and bass and dubstep combined with his inspiration from the gritty sub low frequencies. Still new to the scene the twenty-three year old DJ has continued to grow in success over the past few years and has streamed around fifteen million times across Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud.
Since he was signed by record label CruCast his success has only rocketed seeing him become the first DJ to sell out, his home city venue which is, Rock City. With a huge fan base and collaborations with many popular artists including rapper Example, Darkzy has racked up over 250 gigs worldwide. Some of these venues include Ibiza, Reading, Leeds, Creamfields and Glastonbury delivering some of the most upbeat and crowd packed sets the venues have ever seen.
Darkzy rose to popularity with hits such as Gun Fingers and Glock Riddum the first one continues to gain the support of his hometown due to the name drop of Nottingham city. His breakthrough song was the remix of Drake's One Dance which was released in 2016 and reached over four million views on Youtube and then 2.7 million on SoundCloud.
DJ Darkzy's talent has not gone unnoticed seeing him nominated for Nottingham's 30 Under 30 which is a partnership between The Prince's Trust, Nottinghamshire Live and Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies. The aim of this partnership is to highlight rising stars who represent the spirit, drive and energy of a thriving city.
