Achieving his first real taste of success performing with Musical Youth, Dennis was instrumental in leading the band to international stardom. The group’s debut album, The Youth of Today, saw them storm the international charts with their iconic track Pass the Dutchie. Proving popular both within the United Kingdom and abroad, the single sold millions of copies worldwide. Its success saw the group receive a nomination for a Grammy Award during the mid-1980s. The band disbanded after their second release, Different Style. Following the group’s eventual break-up, Dennis continued to perform as part of several different line-ups.
