Starting his career on the leading pirate radio station in the mid-nineties, which was called the London underground, DJ Spoony formed the trio Dreem Teem with Timmi Magic and Mikee B. Him and the Dreem Teem then joined Kiss 100 via a groundbreaking show on Galaxy following this he then went on to bring UK garage to Radio 1 in January 2000. Following a successful first year Dreem Teem won the prestigious Sony Award. The founding father of UK Garage, DJ Spoony was resident DJ for seven years at Twice as Nice which is the UK's top Garage and RnB club night.
While in this role he mixed and compiled three gold selling compilation albums for the brand. Impressively he has also held residencies for over ten years in Ibiza and Ayia Napa where him and the Dreem Teem had two top 40 hits with Dreem Teem Theme and Buddy X. DJ Spoony created a new sound with UK Garage which became an alternative to the heavier house played in Ibiza. Becoming a resident at Pacha, Eden and Es Paradis, DJ Spoony performed every year for fourteen years completely filling the venues.
He also became Radio 1's first outside broadcast in Ayia Napa. DJ Spoony has an impressive track record, performing for huge corporate names such as Samsung, Apple, Alfred Dunhill and Selfridges on top of multiple private functions for the likes of Steve Gerrard, David Beckham and Dynamo Magician.
