Ian Lawton is a versatile singer, musician, corporate entertainer and event host whose extensive repertoire spans everything from contemporary pop and rock to soul, classic hits and Irish favourites. Ian began writing songs and playing music at the age of 19 before meeting fellow musician Dom at music college and forming Frame of Mind. The band provided Ian with valuable touring experience, including European tours supporting America, where they joined the legendary group for an encore performance of 'A Horse with No Name'. Further highlights included an Italian tour supporting Chuck Berry, appearing at Pistoia Blues Festival alongside Jerry Lee Lewis and winning a battle of the bands competition that led to a performance supporting Status Quo before an audience of approximately 10,000 people.
Ian later formed the band 1913, continuing to develop his songwriting and live performance career. The group signed a record deal with Modern English, released the single 'Atlantis' and shared stages with acts including White Lies and Reverend and the Makers. Today, Ian draws on this considerable professional experience as a solo entertainer, performing a vast selection of music from artists including The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Stereophonics and James Bay. His varied repertoire allows him to adapt his performances to different generations, audiences and occasions.
Alongside his solo performances, Ian also performs an Oasis tribute act, celebrating the music of one of Britain's most iconic bands and adding another option to his extensive entertainment offering. An accomplished host, he can also compere an entire evening, making him particularly valuable for corporate functions requiring both live entertainment and confident event management.
