Originally from Colchester, iDrum are an exciting new concept of music. They are popularly recognised as street performers and a live music act touring around the UK with a drum kit, bucket drums, pots and pans. Dan Abbott works alongside different combinations of their ten drummers day to day to deliver highly entertaining sets to the streets of UK cities.
The group offer a unique act, combining a professional drum kit along with mundane objects such as a bucket as an instrument.
They drum along to popular songs with an element of comedy, a surprisingly captivating idea that's full of originality. iDrum began their journey at a church fete in the middle of a field for no longer than ten minutes. This grew to two hours in the centre of Chelmsford, attracting huge crowds. Since then, they have been drumming all over the nation from Edinburgh to Southampton.
They’ve gained a loyal following with over 8,000 likes on Facebook, where they give updates as to where they’re performing, they also link the vlogs they post on their YouTube channel which shows them setting up and performing in different towns. A small idea has now developed into iDrum Live, a bigger, louder and more epic set they perform with more drummers at clubs, music venues and corporate events.
