Signed with Beluga Heights Records, Iyaz is best known for his chart topping hit singles Replay, Solo and Pretty Girls alongside his extremely successful debut album Repay to which he released in 2010. Iyaz musical talent was discovered in 2008 by Sean Kingston and as a result Iyaz later signed a recording contract with Time is Money/Beluga Heights where he was introduced to producer Michael Nguyen and Beluga Heights Head J.R. Rotem. Following this partnership he released Replay in 2010 which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in several other countries including the UK.
The same year he met the demands with Solo which peaked at thirty-two on the Hot 100 followed by debut album Replay. An extremely professional and creative artist described by J.R. Rotem as: "Whereas others might work on several songs in one day, he might sit there and work on one song for days. From the David Guetta produced single Last Forever and At Last to featuring on My Girl by Akon and Break My Bank by New Boyzone. Later in 2011 he also released a duet with Demi Lavato and two singles with Travie McCoy which were Pretty Girls and My Heart Broke. 2011 was a very successful year for Iyaz and saw him awarded with the MTV Video Awards Japan for his song Replay in the Best Reggae Video category. Replay also won him a BMI Award in 2012 for the 50 Most Performed Songs of the Year category.
