Janice Robinson is best known as the former lead vocalist from the Italian house group, Livin Joy, with whom, she co-wrote and sang the number 1 hit song ‘Dreamer’. In 2018 she appeared on the 15th series of The X Factor UK and made it all the way through to the live shows of the series. Having performed since 1992, Janice has amassed a wealth of experience and knowledge from over a 30-year period. Born and raised in the USA, Janice first started her career with the euro-dance group Snap! and toured as their lead vocalist. After a two-year period with the group, Janice then joined the Italian house group Livin Joy, with whom, she would rise to prominence. Their song ‘Dreamer’ was originally released in 1994 but then rereleased in 1995. Upon its rerelease, it topped the charts in the UK and became the 40th best-selling single of the UK for that year. Within the same period, it became the number 1 on the US Hot Dance Club Party Chart and peaked at number 72 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2011, MTV Dance then ranked the song an incredible number 15 on their list of The 100 Biggest 90s Dance Anthems of all time.
As a solo artist, Janice released her first album in 1999 titled ‘The Color Within Me’, with more of a pop sound. From this album she had a hit with the single ‘Nothing I Would Change’. Soon after, Janice took a long hiatus to care for her sick parents. Losing none of her passion for music, in 2015 she then rereleased the single ‘There Must Be Love’ in collaboration with David Morales, which subsequently reached the Billboard Dance Charts. Proving her performing days are not behind her, in 2018 she appeared on the 15th series of The X Factor UK and impressively made it to the live shows. After this successful stint, Janice toured the UK and is still wowing crowds with her masterful performances.
