Her debut studio album, I Cry When I Laugh was released in 2015 and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and also featured the number one singles "Hold My Hand" and "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself".
In 2018, she became the first British female solo artist to have seven number-one singles on the UK Singles Chart, after her single "I'll Be There" went number-one. Later in 2018, her second album, Always In Between, was released and it debuted at number one in the UK.
In January 2014, "Rather Be" debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the third fastest-selling single and the most streamed song of 2014. The track attained number-one and top-five positions on charts across Europe and Oceania, and was a top ten hit on the US Billboard Hot 100.
British DJ Route 94's "My Love" was released as a single in April 2014 and debuted at number one in the UK. Both "Rather Be" and "My Love" received nominations at the BRIT Awards for Best British Single. For her work on "Rather Be ", Glynne won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording and was nominated for Song of the Year at the inaugural BBC Music Awards .
In July 2017 The Sun newspaper reported that Ed Sheeran was helping her on her comeback and had penned two new songs for her called "Thursday " and "Woman Like Me ".
Glynne made her comeback in January 2018 featuring on Rudimental 's new single "These Days " alongside American rapper Macklemore and Dan Caplen, which charted successfully on the UK Singles Chart . The following month, it was announced that Glynne would be performing at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swansea on the May bank holiday weekend.
These Days " finally made it to number 1. This made Glynne the first British woman in UK chart history to have six number-one singles.
It was announced that Glynne would be performing and releasing her new single written by herself and Aidan Chapman, titled "I'll Be There ", on The Graham Norton Show on 4 May. The song reached number 1 on 15 June, becoming Glynne’s seventh.
