Famed singer and songwriter, Jo O’Meara is best known as a former member of S Club 7. Performing with the band from 1999 to 2003, Jo fronted the band as one of the lead singers and became well known for songs such as Never Had a Dream Come True and Reach. Before reaching the heights of fame as a member of S Club 7, Jo was formerly a member of 2-4 Family, the rap and hip-hop group that released the single Stay. Spotted by a talent scout, Jo auditioned for S Club 7 and gained her place in the band in 1999. In the following years, Jo was the lead singer of the iconic band, releasing four studio albums and performing in three arena tours. The band were a hit amongst many ages, singing songs such as You’re My Number One, Don’t Stop Movin and Two in a Million, as well as winning the British Breakthrough Act and British Single of the Year Brit Awards.
After announcing the band’s split in 2003, Jo launched her solo career in 2005, building her reputation as a solo performer with performances at universities and festivals across the country. Jo is also widely known for her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, having made it all the way to the semi-finals on the iconic show. In 2008, Jo joined two other S Club members to form S Club 3 and in 2017 all seven members of the band reunited to perform once again- performing in their Bring it all Back arena tour.
As of 2020, Jo began working on the second album of her solo career, releasing With Love in 2021, and is now booked to perform at a variety of events and festivals across the country. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Jo launched a YouTube channel to promote her music, now boasting over 2.03k subscribers.
