John Wilding is a talented British solo artist and performer who rose to prominence with appearances on the popular British talent show, the X Factor. Professionally trained, and capable of singing in an impressive three-octave vocal range, John is an amazing solo vocalist with a bright future. John's career in show business started young with his first credits coming in at the age of 12. He played the young Paul McCartney in the West End production of The Long and Winding Road. Impressing theatregoers and critics alike, received a standing ovation from 2,500 people for his role as a young James Bond in the Theatre Royal Drury Lane musical about the famous spy. His cover of Gladys Knight's ‘License to Kill' astounded audiences and set the stage for John's burgeoning career.
John won a place at the esteemed Sylvia Young Theatre School in 2007. While studying, he honed his stage work, vocal talent, and acting to make him a master of entertainment.
John then furthered his career as a solo artist when he auditioned for ITV's The X Factor, in 2010. John impressed Simon Cowell and his panel to make it all the way through to the judges' houses to further develop his talent.
Although not making it to the final, John made The X Factor record books when he returned a year later to compete again. He received a standing ovation from all of the judges with Gary Barlow noting:
‘That was absolutely sensational.'
John went to make it to the judges' house for a second time making him the only solo artist to reach the judge's house consecutively.
Following his ITV exposure, John became hot property and performed a series of high profile events such as Salon Privé, Christmas on Oxford Street and The British Beach Polo Championships. As if this weren't enough he has also sung for the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia and Princess Marina.
2012 saw John return to the West End in a one-night performance of Children of Eden at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Starring alongside Brenda Edwards, Louise Dearman, Oliver Thornton, Kerry Ellis, and Gareth Gates the production was a massive success and raised huge amounts of money for a charity supporting people with Crohn's Disease.
