Kim is best known for her hit single Kids in America which found her success in 1981 and for a debut single it impressively reached number two in the UK giving her a great foundation to lay her influential music career upon. She's sported a hugely successful career seeing her sell over ten million albums and twenty million singles worldwide.
Only two years after embarking on her music career . She went on to achieve a number one hit with her version of You Keep Me Hangin On by the Supremes this also managed to top the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1987. 1988 saw her release her biggest album to date with Close, this achieved her a UK Top ten and almost eight months in the UK Album Charts it also consisted of three Top ten UK singles which were You Came, Four Letter Word and Never Trust a Stranger. Following this release she also became the opening act for Michael Jackson's Bad World Tour. In 1992 she collaborated with Rick Nowels, the man behind a lot of Stevie Nicks and Belinda Carlisle's hits, to produce Love Is Holy and the album Love Is with two singles making the Top twenty and Top forty of the UK Charts.
