Nia Archives, born Dehaney Nia Lishahn Hunt, is one of the most influential new voices in jungle and drum and bass music. An English DJ, producer, singer and songwriter, Nia has become known for revitalising jungle music for a new generation by blending classic breakbeats with soulful vocals, emotional songwriting and modern production. Her energetic performances, nostalgic rave influences and distinctive visual style have established her as one of the most exciting artists in contemporary electronic music.
After moving to Hackney Wick for university, Nia began producing and independently releasing her own music when local labels initially declined her work. Uploading early tracks under the name Indigo D, she later gained significant attention with the EPs 'Headz Gone West' and 'Forbidden Feelingz', both released through her own label Hijinxx. Tracks such as 'Sober Feels' and '18 & Over' helped establish her unique sound, combining old school jungle rhythms with deeply personal storytelling. Her music quickly gained traction online, with 'Sober Feels' eventually surpassing seven million streams and helping introduce her music to a global audience.
Nia’s rise continued with critically acclaimed releases including 'Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against the Wall' and her debut album 'Silence Is Loud', which topped the UK Dance Albums Chart and reached number sixteen on the UK Albums Chart. Alongside her solo work, she collaborated with artists including Rebel MC, Beenie Man, Central Cee and Kano. In 2023, she supported Beyoncé on the 'Renaissance World Tour' at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, further cementing her global reputation as one of electronic music’s most exciting live performers.
In addition to her own releases, Nia has collaborated with some of the most respected names in electronic music, including Jamie xx, delivering a high-energy jungle remix that showcased her ability to merge classic rave culture with contemporary production. Beyond music, she has become a passionate advocate for electronic music culture, publicly campaigning for the MOBO Awards to introduce an Electronic/Dance category. In 2025, she launched her label Up Ya Archives, continuing her support for creative independence within the scene. Following the release of her 2026 single 'Danger', she announced her second album 'Emotional Junglist' alongside a major 2026 tour, further proving why she is hired worldwide for her explosive DJ sets and innovative sound.
