Nicholas McDonald has a remarkable story to tell. Despite being diagnosed with the rare heart condition, Long QT Syndrome, the solo artist made it to the live show of Britain’s Got Talent, and then just two years later, to the finals of the talent show, The X Factor. Having come out of the woodwork at a tender age, Nicolas consistently proved his true and genuine talent on the show where he eventually took the X Factor runners-up spot, behind only the talented Sam Bailey.
All of this was accomplished at the young age of just 17. From there, Nicholas went on to establish himself as one of the up and coming acts in British entertainment. A year later, he released his first album, entitled In The Arms Of An Angel, which peaked at six in the British Album Chart and number one in the Scottish charts. This album included such tracks as Nicholas’ debut single, Answerphone, in which he co-wrote. The solo vocalist also covered Someone Like You, Just The Way You Are, Flying Without Wings, Angel, If You’re Not The One and When The Stars Go Blue.
Nicholas performed many of these songs on the X Factor. He has had significant success since coming to fame, making a name for himself on the private and corporate events circuits. Now an ambassador for three major charities, the solo artist has also released a second album and single. In October 2017 he signed on the dotted line for an eight-month stint onboard Carnival Cruises, on tours of the Caribbean.
After performing five shows per week alongside a full live brass band - Nicholas is back and excited about a chance to tour new and exciting venues with his show.
