The former primary school music teacher took to the stage for series twelve of Britain's Got Talent where he completely wowed the judges and viewers. As a result he came second to comedian Lee Ridley and in 2018 launched his debut Tank Top Tour. Since the show Robert has generated a huge fan base which has seen him effortlessly make his way up the comedy ladder with one success after another. He launched his comedy career in 2004 and only two years later he became a finalist in the 2006 Hackney Empire competition which is an extremely prestigious event in the comedy industry.
At this competition he was twice named Comedy Cafe New act Winner in both 2006 and 2007. Although still fresh in his career, 2006 saw him become a semi-finalist of the annual stand-up comedy competition, So You Think You're Funny. The same year he finished runner up in the 2006 Brighton new Act Competition where he also received a special mention. Going from strength to strength in 2010 he won the Malcolm Hardee main award at the Edinburgh Festival for comic originality.
According to the Dave Channel prize Robert performed one of the top ten jokes of the fringe. Richard regularly performs in a variety of venues from big clubs to theatres and festivals around the UK and abroad and has become an extremely sought after act. Some venues include Komedia, The Star Comedy Club and the Top Secret Comedy Club. His act never disappoints providing his audience with laugh after laugh and delivering in an extremely professional yet highly entertaining manner.
