Sahara is an exceptional string trio, created in 2007 by Sarah Louise. All members of the group have attended prestigious colleges in London including Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. The group is unique being the first to combine the saxophone with strings. They offer versatile performances ranging from the traditional string to improvising live with a DJ. They are completely unrestricted by genre and offer exclusive, innovative performances that are redefining classical music.
Taking inspiration from Bond Electric String Quartet, Vitamin String and Electric Violinist Vanessa Mae, this inspirational all-female string group combines their passion for classical music and popular music. In the process they create fun, up-tempo arrangements of popular and classical music, blended with phenomenal live performances and outstanding choreography.
The trio have headlined with notable stars such as Katherine Jenkins at a charity event and with Peter Andre for over 20,000 people, in addition to appearing in a live show with The Gypsy Kings. Furthermore, they have performed for Royalty, at a Harrods Sales event, for an opening of a Harvey Nichols in Kuwait, at the Cannes Festival and in exclusive private events and weddings. Separately, the girls have performed with a wide range of musicians such as Olly Murs, Cheryl Cole, Gary Barlow, and Robbie Williams.
The trio stand out for their ability to attract people from all genres due to their inclusive music style. They are paving the way in the world of classical crossover music and have created bespoke live performances that can be tailored for every event. Their act includes a range of different options such as acoustic background music, choreographed electric string shows and DJ live shows. Perfect for all events, the trio will pleasantly surprise and entertain guests with their magical performances.
