Sonique became the lead vocalist for two of S'Express singles along with the majority of their second album however she is best known for her international hit It Feels So Good which was released in 2000.
Sonique partnered once again with DJ Mark Moore to make the ultimate dance-pop duo and as a result released single Nothing to Lose which entered the UK Singles Chart. Mark Moore saw huge potential in Sonique and gifted her a set of turntables and a mixer this consequently kicked off her career as a DJ and from 1997 to 1999 she became the resident DJ at Club Manumission in Ibiza.
Following this she attracted the attention of Fantazia a UK promoter/label and was asked to mix a disc on their album Fantazia British Anthems Summertime which became a gold certified album within the UK.
Sonique topped the UK Charts for three weeks following hit single Feels So Good which came from her debut album Hear My Cry in 2000. After spending fourteen weeks in the Top 40 it became the UK's third best-selling single of 2000. The following year she announced her retirement from the DJing world to pursue her singing career however following the release of her album Born to Be Free she took up DJing again for special occasions.
Sonique released a cover of Girls Just Want To Have Fun to raise money for Cancer Research UK Charity she did this as a result of her own personal experience battling cancer throughout 2009.
