Stereosonics are the number one Stereophonics tribute band. Evolving from a cover band performing a variety of current and classic anthems in 1999, the Stereosonics has become the most authentic Stereophonics tribute act. Comprised of a 5 band line-up, the group stands out for their talent and experience, with band members closely resembling the Stereophonics in appearance and flair. The lead singer Shane possesses vocals closely matching Kelly Jones’s distinct whiskey tone, and the other members have an impressive musical repertoire.
Formed in 1992, the Stereophonics are a Welsh rock band from the village of Cwmaman. Throughout their career, they have released 12 studio albums, eight of which were UK number-one albums. They can be best described as an alternative rock and British traditional rock band, who first rose to fame in 1997 with their debut album Word Gets Around. The album charted at number six in the UK and was especially popular for the singles Local Boy in the Photograph, More Life in a Tramps Vest and A Thousand Trees.
The band went mainstream in 1999 with their album Performance and Cocktails and has since become one of the most successful Welsh rock bands. In total, Stereophonics achieved ten top-ten singles and a number-one with Dakota in 2005. In 2008, Decade in the Sun charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and by 2016, the band had sold over 10 million copies. With such dazzling live performances, Stereophonics regularly headline slots at some of the most prestigious music festivals, including Glastonbury, Oxygen, Tramlines, Reading, Leeds and TRNSMT among others.
Stereosonics have perfected the large catalogue of songs released by Stereophonics and have impressed crowds with their vibrant performances all over the UK. They were joined onstage by Stuart Cable, the former Stereophonic drummer when they went to perform at the Working Man’s Club, the place where the Stereophonics performed their first-ever live show.
