Since then, the band has continued to flourish under the leadership of Todd Miller, one of the band’s most prolific vocalists. An authentic act with its roots in the British jazz scene, Joe Loss propelled the group to greatness over the course of his lifetime. He gave his first public violin concert when he was just ten years old. At age 20, Joe went on to become the youngest band leader around, conducting his very own Harlem Band. His subsequent group, The Joe Loss Orchestra, quickly became one of the most notable big bands in the country. The group’s best-known signature tune, In the Mood, became a firm fan favourite amongst discerning big band enthusiasts. Entrusted by Joe, Todd Miller took over leadership in 1990.
Since then, the group have continued their meteoric rise through the jazz music ranks.
