Live vocals, stunning musicianship, authentic costumes and exciting choreography all contribute to a spectacular show which brings audiences to their feet night after night. With the music of ABBA firmly in the spotlight following the Mamma Mia phenomenon, there’s never been a better time to bring ABBA impersonators to your venue or function. ABBA Fever was formed in 1996 by keyboardist Steve Nelson and drummer Pat Rudge. Steve and Pat met in 1993 as co-musicians for Africa, a band specialising in live Queen stage shows.
While playing to packed gigs and watching tribute bands appear across the country, they quickly realised the demand for an ABBA tribute band. It was important to both Steve and Pat that the show was remarkable, full of energy and most importantly, live. Following a UK wide search for Agnetha & Anni-Frid, ABBA Fever recruited Katie Eastwood and Lesley McCoy and went on to hit the road alongside guitarist Dayle Thompson. A five-piece live band with five-part harmonies, the show transports you back to the 1970’s through the biggest hits of Sweden’s greatest export.
With over 20 years experience in the industry, delivering top level shows at various events and for countless corporations, this band can marvel and weave their way into the hearts of ABBA fans and guests that simply value a special night. Legendary song, ‘Waterloo’ began the original ABBA’s long and well-loved affiliation with pop music and inspired a generation.
Absolute classics and multi award-winning show tunes came next, such as ‘Super Trouper,’ ‘Dancing Queen,’ ‘The Winner Takes it All’ and ‘Mamma Mia.’ The original superstars sold upwards of 350 million records and their tracks are still a major player on the disco scene worldwide. ABBA Fever performs throughout the UK and Europe and each show is customised to meet the needs of an event. Able to play at any venue, ABBA Fever’s range includes hotels, theatres and themed events.
