One of the most successful singers of all time, Alison is a three time BRIT Award winner and Grammy nominee who has sold over a million singles and twenty-three million album sales. An extremely popular artist who amazingly has released nine studio albums and three compilation albums which have all ranked in the Top 30 UK Album Chart with two making it to the number one position. Her success flows through to her singles where she's achieved nine Top thirty singles and five Top ten hits. She first joined the music scene at the age of twenty-one as half of the duo Yazoo the other half being Vince Clarke.
Some of Yazoo's hits include Nobody's Diary, Only You, Don't Go and Situation along with two albums You and Me Both and Upstairs at Eric's. By 1983 Alison took on the career as a soloist and released her debut album the following year which was entitled Alf. This album was a huge success for Alison peaking at number one in the UK charts and producing hit singles Love Resurrection, All Cried Out and Invisible. The Minutes studio album was released in 2013 and gained Alison her fourth UK Top ten album after it peaked at number five in the album chart.
This year was a huge year for Alison as she was recognised by the Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Awards and as a result won the Icon Award along with a Gold Badge Award in 2014 for her unique contributions to music. Following the release of critically acclaimed album, Other in 2017, Alison embarked on her largest tour in thirty years. This involved fifty-nine shows around Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Recently in 2019 Alison appeared as a special guest on the Tears For Fears UK Arena tour and was also invited by Burberry to perform at the prestigious Womenswear Show at London Fashion Week, this performance included a thirty-two piece orchestra. An amazing headline act for any event, Alisons vocals blow away any audience she's placed in front of. Alison has made a huge mark on the music world following her career full of world class music and performing. With her ability to cross over genres, she appeals to a wide audience variety and is an extremely in demand entertainer.
