André Rieu is a renowned Dutch violinist and conductor, best known for founding the Johann Strauss Orchestra. This passion led him to create the Johann Strauss Orchestra in 1987, starting with just 12 members and giving its inaugural concert on January 1, 1988. Today, the orchestra boasts 50 to 60 musicians, and André performs with a 1667 Stradivarius violin.
