Bennett Arron's merging of material from his own life, his upbringing and family, religion and other unvoiced details, combined with his insight on a range of political and cultural topics make for one of the most exciting performances on the circuit. Bennett Arron is razor sharp in his delivery and explosive in his revelation of ‘top secret’ information. Charismatic and natural when encouraging audience participation, Bennett is delightfully artistic and paints a perfect night with his charm and wonderful Welsh wit. His intellectual discourse touches heavily upon identity fraud, owing to his own experiences as a victim of identity theft.
Sometime after the horrid incident, Bennett laughed it off when he devised his own show for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005. He was a huge success at the Fringe and he was quickly asked to present How to Steal an Identity on Channel 4. The show saw him steal the identity of members of the British public and Charles Clarke, the former Home Secretary on its way to becoming the Pick of the Day programme in The Guardian and The Telegraph. It was described as: ’Fascinating and Disturbing' by the Times, and went on to be shortlisted for a BAFTA.
