Having been selected by legendary Welsh singer and The Voice judge Sir Tom Jones to go through, Bizzi’s powerful performances saw him all the way through to the show’s semi-final stage. Having taken his first steps into the world of music at an early age, Bizzi has been involved in a number of musical pursuits. Apart from developing himself as a multi-instrumentalist, Bizzi also came to master the ins and outs of R&B and gospel vocals. As a result, he soon joined British R&B group Rhythm & Bass. Apart from lending his vocal abilities to the group, Bizzi also performed songwriting duties. Proving to be an exciting act, the group soon set out on their first tour of the United States in the early 1990s.
Building himself a reputation as a leading figure among UK singers, Bizzi was soon picked up by record label Parlophone. Having signed with the label, Bizzi released one of his most acclaimed musical compositions - Bizzi’s Party. The track incorporated elements of both R&B and soul, and proved to be a strong underground hit. Gaining him further recognition in mainstream music, the track also went on to achieve success in the national charts. Perhaps his greatest claim to fame, Bizzi’s participation in The Voice UK saw him become a familiar face in the entertainment world.
Throughout the show, Bizzi performed impressive renditions of a number of different hits, including Kings Of Leon’s Use Somebody and The Beatles’ Hey Jude. Under the guidance of Sir Tom Jones, Bizzi went on to reach the final eight, holding his own amongst fierce competition. His high-energy performances have seen him achieve lasting popularity with the viewing public as one of the most memorable The Voice contestants. Bizzi’s vast popularity has seen him perform for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Wayne Rooney, Tinie Tempah and Sir Bobby Charlton.
In addition, he has sung with a number of notable acts, including Brandy and Sir Tom Jones. His success as an entertainer has taken him to venues across the globe, having performed across the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, The United States, Spain, Cyprus and Portugal. Most recently, Bizzi’s exceptional talents have seen him make an appearance on the West End, forming part of the tour cast for Thriller Live. Continuing to establish himself as an icon amongst famous British singers, Bizzi Dixon is a popular choice for corporate entertainment and private events.
