Having spent more than fifteen years together, Blue have sold in excess of 15 million records, tearing down the house on stages across the globe. Building upon their reputation as some of the most famous British singers in the world today, Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webbe have continued to complement each other’s remarkable musical talents. Rising to fame in the early 2000s, Blue’s first significant musical achievement came in the form of their debut album, All Rise. The album’s very first single, All Rise, quickly found its way to the top of the British charts. The band’s following singles, Too Close, Fly By II, and If You Come Back, also achieved chart success.
As a result, the album performed well commercially, selling almost 2 million copies in the United Kingdom. The band continued to add to their musical repertoire with their second studio album, One Love. Performing well commercially, the album produced a number of memorable singles, including the smash hit Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, which saw the group collaborate with the legendary Elton John. This was followed up by the group’s third release, Guilty, which rose to the top of the British charts. With a feature appearance from Stevie Wonder backing the album up, the album would go on to sell over a million copies in the United Kingdom.
The group’s smooth harmonies, seductive lyrics and willingness to experiment with a number of different genres saw them release a string of further releases in the ensuing years. After a brief hiatus, the vocal group came to reunite in 2011, representing the United Kingdom in that year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
In addition, the group continued their collaboration with a number of other notable artists, including the likes of Bruno Mars. Following the release of their albums Roulette and Colours, the band continue to work on new and exciting musical material. As one of the most popular boy bands of all time, Blue continue to perform at venues and corporate events across the country and abroad. In doing so, the Blue member’s unbelievable vocal abilities have seen them acquire a loyal following across the globe. This year will see the group continue to delight those lucky enough to see them perform. In doing so, the group is without a doubt worthy of their reputation as one of the most famous boy bands ever to have come out of the country.
