David Adeogun is a finalist and runner-up on The Voice 2022, the eleventh series of the talent show. At just 20, David was the youngest finalist to compete which demonstrates there is plenty more to come from David Adeogun and this is just the start of his musical career.
David started his journey on the show performing ‘In the Silence’ in the blind auditions which impressed both Olly Murs and Sir Tom Jones with them both pressing their buzzers. Olly was so impressed that he used his block button to guarantee that David would be on his team. From there, David went on to perform ’Sandcastles’ in The Callbacks, further progressing in the competition remaining with Team Olly. From here, David continued his streak of success following his performance of Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’ in the semi-finals again showing his amazing talent beating the other two contestants in his team, landing him a spot in the final.
The final of the show was made up of three performances from each of the four remaining contestants. As a sole representative of Team Olly, David individually performed ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ before going on to perform a duet with Olly Murs which earned him the votes from the virtual audience putting him into the final two contestants. David then went up against Anthonia Edwards in the final sing-off in which he finished as the runner-up for the eleventh season of the show. David broke down in tears after a moving speech, thanking his mentor Olly Murs for ‘’seeing something I don’t even see myself’’ and further complimenting Olly as a coach.
