Freya began song writing at the young age of nine after all her music teachers gave up on teaching her existing songs due to her severe dyslexia. She performed her first open mic at the age of 11, this is where she discovered her love for music. She later attended BRIT school, like Adele and Amy Winehouse, and was backed by her local BBC Music Introducing Show in London, this lead to her signing with an independent record label Good Soldier.
Her big break came along when her song Lost Without You featured on a 2018 episode of Love Island, the tune received 13 thousand Shazams from viewers discovering the new artist, it was also chosen by Radio 1 DJ, Scott Mills, as his Tune of the Week. It wasn’t long before the emotional melody peaked at number nine in the UK Singles Chart.
Freya began supporting acts such as Gavin James around the UK and Tears for Fears in the Royal Albert Hall, which she had earlier performed at in 2002 at the BBC Proms. Freya has also opened shows across North America for Ella Vos and headlined at big festivals in the US. She is now headlining at her own tour around the UK. With beautiful and strong vocals, Freya is a captivating act that always creates emotion when she sings. A perfect act for any music or corporate event.
