British comedian, actor and writer Jack Carroll's first meeting with the public eye came after an appearance on the One Show in 2010. The BBC show featured his joke-telling at his parents' wedding anniversary before going on to show the build-up to him supporting comedian Jason Manford at his comedy gig in Bradford, for 1400 people. Having caused a raucous on stage, he became a growing name in comedy. By 2012 he was cast as Mr Frazernagle in Ministry of Curious Stuff, starring Vic Reeves on CBBC and won a Pride of Britain award in 2012 for his commitment to making people laugh. He ran for two series in the role and by 2013 he was lining up on the Britain's Got Talent stage, waiting to wow the nation.
And that he did, with a performance that showed this young man's charming personality, wit and natural humour. He won plaudits again with his self-deprecating humour, observations and smart one-liners. He was voted through to become one of the Britain's Got Talent finalists, taking 42.5% of the vote. He finished the competition in second place, only narrowly missing out on the top spot to shadow theatre group, Attraction. The young man was born with Cerebral Palsy and has inspired generations with his unique style which includes jokes surrounding his disability. He worries less about his disability and more about the quality of his jokes, admitting that: 'In comedy, a lot of times, your weaknesses are your strengths.
It's like the elephant in the room and then when you mention it they can relax and enjoy the rest of the funny jokes.' Bringing 'joy to the world' with his refreshing attitude and quick wit, Jack has starred at the upper rungs of comedy since his debut. A superstar in the making, Jack is level-headed and has always taken each experience in his stride. His impressive performances opened up a world of opportunities. By 2014 he was appearing in BBC One sitcom, Big School and in Sky1 comedy Trollied. In 2016 he made his debut at Live at the Apollo, showing his new maturity with even greater confidence than before and an edgier catalogue of material. Jack has also become a popular choice for corporate entertainment, party entertainment and other event entertainment.
