K-Klass are a Welsh/English electronic music group originating from Wrexham, Wales and Chester, England, now based in Manchester. They are widely recognised as one of the most influential acts in British house music, responsible for some of the biggest dance tracks ever made and known for their vibrant live performances and DJ sets. Their work spans more than three decades, uniting club culture with mainstream success and earning them a lasting place on the international dance music stage.
Formed in 1988 after meeting at the legendary Haçienda nightclub in Manchester, the original lineup comprised Andy Williams, Carl Thomas, Russ Morgan and Paul Roberts, with Bobbi Depasois later becoming the enduring vocalist. K-Klass quickly established themselves with the release of 'The Wildlife EP', and then their breakthrough single 'Rhythm Is a Mystery', which peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart and became a defining anthem of early 90s house music. Their follow-up, 'Let Me Show You,' also reached the UK top 20, cementing their reputation as dance music hitmakers.
In 1991, they signed with Deconstruction Records and later joined Parlophone, enabling wider commercial reach and multiple top-40 hits. Over the years, K-Klass have also become revered remixers and producers for major artists, earning the International Dance Awards Remixer of the Year title in 1996 for their mix of Carleen Anderson’s 'True Spirit' and a Grammy nomination in 2002 for their remix of Samantha Mumba’s 'Baby Come on Over'. Their remix work includes tracks by high-profile performers across genres, contributing to their extensive influence beyond their own releases.
Today, K-Klass are hired for a wide variety of events because they bring both historical credibility and current high-impact performance energy. Their sets are rooted in classic house and electronic dance music while still sounding fresh, making them ideal for large scale festivals, club nights, corporate functions and private celebrations alike. Their ability to adapt to diverse audiences, coupled with decades of experience on dance floors worldwide, ensures every event they play becomes an unforgettable experience.
