Lily Taylor-Ward is an accomplished Classical Crossover Soprano singer who has been performing from a young age. Having trained in her passion, Lily is now a popular choice as entertainment for various events, from birthday parties and weddings to corporate events and functions. Having formerly worked alongside consummate professionals in London West End Master Classes, such as Maria Freidman, Ramin Karimloo and Michael Xavier, Lily has learnt from the best and impresses all with her beautiful vocals.
First beginning singing lessons when she was around the age of 10, Lily has always been happiest when she was singing. Recognised for her talents from a young age, Lily was invited to become a member of the Cantamus Girls Choir, with whom she performed and trained until she was 14. In a bid to further follow her dream of singing and performing, Lily later trained with the renowned London West End Master Class. She later applied to attend university, accepted into the London College of Music, later graduating with a First Class Honours in Music, busking on the side to raise money to fund her degree.
Back in her home town, Lily began working with the Community Recording Studio. Often seen performing in Derby to large crowds, Lily is a volunteer peer mentor and vocal tutor for Community Recording Studio with Prince Harry as a Patron of the studio. Lily has previously performed for royalty and has also been fortunate to perform at a variety of prestigious venues, including the likes of The Royal Albert Hall, The Birmingham Hippodrome, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Lily has also formerly performed at the Nottingham Forest Football Stadium, captivating an audience of 24000 fans. Another passion of Lily’s is performing as her alter ego Miss Lovejoy, who is a vintage style performer, singing at a number of war-themed and 1940s events.
She had the great honour of being asked to perform at Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 100th Birthday party, that was unfortunately postponed due to Covid-19. Lily recorded a video message where she sang a couple of Tom’s favourite tunes. A video was later uploaded to Tom’s Twitter account where you can see him singing along to Lily. She was also featured alongside Michael Ball and Alfie Boe in ITV’s “Carols at Christmas”, and is trending worldwide for her tributes to NHS staff and keyworkers, showing her appreciation to the NHS by singing during the clap.
Lily has also showcased her talents on stage, appearing as Maria in West Side Story and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera to name but a few. Highly praised by all she has performed for, Lily is a consummate professional whose talents are perfect for a range of events.
