Esteemed chef, Marco Pierre White is often dubbed as the first celebrity chef to emerge from the UK. Having trained some of the most influential chefs of modern-day, Marco became the youngest chef to claim three Michelin Stars and has cooked in some of the most prestigious restaurants country-wide. Having left education with no qualifications, Marco began his journey to become a professional chef – training in the kitchen of Harrogate’s St George Hotel. He then worked in the kitchens of the Box Tree, before beginning classical training with Albert Roux and Michel Roux at Le Gavroche. Here, Marco learnt the foundations for his credible career and was favoured by Albert Roux, dubbed as his ‘little bunny’. After classical training, Marco then became the Head Chef and Joint Owner of Harveys at just 24 years of age, with a team of chefs such as Gordon Ramsey, Heston Blumenthal and Thierry Busset under his management and claiming his third Michelin Star by 33.
Fast forward to today, and Marco has created his own empire of restaurants and eateries. He has launched London Steakhouse Co, Marco Pierre White Ireland, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill, Marco’s New York Italian, Wheeler’s, Mr White’s English Chophouse, Bardolino and Marconi, serving everything from steak and fish to pastries, coffees and smoothies. Marco has also established his own hotel, The Rudloe Arms, which is set on 14 acres of land located near Bath. Marco has also authored White Heat 25, widely regarded as one of the most enduring classic cookbooks of our time, and other titles Marco Made Easy, Marco Pierre White in Hell’s Kitchen, Great British Feast and White Slave.
Having partnered with P&O Cruises, Knorr and BBC Maestro, Marco is a popular face across many marketing strategies. He has also appeared as the Head Chef on Hell’s Kitchen, on The Chopping Block, Masterchef Australia, Marco Pierre White’s Kitchen Wars and Masterchef Australia: The Professionals. Having retired from professional cooking, Marco has also worked as a restaurateur alongside launching his own restaurants.
