Formed in Watford Rak Su are made up of childhood friends, Myles Stephenson, Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland and Mustafa Rahimtulla. Rak Su are an English R&B/hip hop boy band whose name came from a shortened version of 'Tracks v. Suits' which represents 'music and fun vs. adult life'. The group gained huge popularity and fame following winning the fourteenth series of The X Factor becoming the first boy band to ever do so and the second group after Little Mix. Mentored by Simon Cowell the boy band were clear favourites from the very start and made it to the final top two with Davies before being announced as the winners with over 50% of the public vote.
Their winners single Dimelo featured Naughty Boy and Wyclef Jean and marked the first time a winners single was written by the winning competitor. The single impressively reached number two in the UK Singles Chart behind Ed Sheeran's Perfect. In 2018 they released and EP called Rak-Su which featured four songs that they had performed on The X Factor which included Mona Lisa, Mamacita, I'm Feeling You and Dimelo.
In May 2018 it was announced that they would support Little Mix on their Summer Hits Tour followed by supporting Olly Murs on his You Know, I Know Tour in 2019. The boyband also returned to The X Factor to perform their new single I Want You To Freak. In 2019 Rak Su embarked on their own UK tour called the Scenic Route Tour which proved to be a huge success and as a result got extended. The boys are instantly recognisable figures with Myles Stephenson recently taking part in the nineteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
