Standing on the Shoulder of Oasis is an Oasis tribute band from Manchester who pride themselves on giving their audience the real live Oasis experience. They have toured up and down the UK, putting their heart and soul into every performance. Less concerned with copying the look of Oasis, this tribute band has perfected their performance to ensure they sound as good as the real band and are able to perform all of their songs, not just the hits.
Formed in 2012 by founding members Ethan Berry as Liam, vocals, and Matt Bennett, as Noel, vocalist and guitarist, the band named themselves after their favourite Oasis album: ‘Standing on the Shoulder of Giants’. After a short sabbatical, the band came back bigger and better than ever having been joined by three more members: Steve Moody as Bonehead the guitarist, Nick Johnson as Guigsy on the bass and Arthur as Alan White on the drums. The band has a wealth of experience performing on stage, having performed, as individuals, at the likes of Glastonbury, and toured with the Hull Truck Theatre Company.
Having made a name for themselves throughout the whole of the UK, the band are recognised as one of the most accurate tribute bands to the live sound of Oasis. Being formed from their love of Oasis, they now have a reputation as one of the most respectful tributes – wanting to ensure the audience always leaves feeling like they just watched the real thing live on stage.
