Terry Webster is a talented solo vocalist, impressionist, musician, and comedian with a performance history going all the way back to the 50s. A gifted guitarist and bassist, his musical skill adds an extra dimension to this singer's performance. His classic act is the ideal entertainment for all manner of events from birthday parties and anniversaries to wedding receptions, cruise ship entertainment and corporate events.
Terry‘s career began all the way back in 1957 when his sister gave him an old single-stringed mandolin. After adding ukulele strings, he began to pick up the pop hits of the day and formed a skiffle band with schoolmates. Playing guitars, washboards, and jugs Terry eventually graduated to fully-fledged bands using electric instruments. He toured the UK with Patti Brook and the Diamonds and Jet Harris and the Jetblacks.
From there, Terry joined Emile and the Checkmates and released his first record with Pye Records. As a singer and producer, he was an integral part of the Jive Bunny's rock n' roll melodies, three of which became number one hits in the 1980s.
Before Jive Bunny, however, Terry Webster was a successful musician in this own right, performing with the likes of Gene Vincent, The Rolling Stones, Little Richard, The Shadows, Tom Jones, Sam Cooke, Del Shannon and even The Beatles. He has also played at major British venues like the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and the London Palladium.
Briefly operating under the pseudonym Tony Brook for EMI Records, Terry released the singles ‘Meanie Girl' and ‘Oo Poo Pa Do'. He also appeared regularly on radio as a singer on BBC's Pop North and as part of the impressionist band The Rockin' Berries who featured on the tribute act television series Who Do You Do?
The epitome of an all-around entertainer, Terry is a singer, songwriter, vocal impressionist, musician, record producer and comedian. With experience from every musical era behind him, he has condensed the best parts of every genre to create a show that is tailor-made to wash over audiences with wave after wave of nostalgia. Entertaining, fun and ultimately unmissable, Terry will add something extra to your events.
