Kelly’s love of country music began at the age of 14 with a huge influence being Dolly Parton. Kelly began performing like her idol and two years later was crowned South Australian Country Vocalist of the Year and Best New Talent at the Pan-Australian Gympie Muster. This base led Kelly to a recording deal and several television appearances including ‘Good Morning Australia’, ‘Carols in the Domain’, ‘Living with Style’, and ‘Home and Away’. Her biggest break, however, came when she made it all the way through to the final 12 in Popstars 2.
From these beginnings, Kelly’s star status rose as she performed the lead in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical ‘Starlight Express’. Other theatre credits include roles in ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’, ‘Cabaret’, and ’Tonight’s the Night’. This exposure to the stage and screen helped the burgeoning singer develop her stage work and acting creating the perfect storm of tribute act training. Before creating ’The Dolly Show’ however, Kelly moved to the UK providing vocals for the likes of Antony Costa, Diana Vickers, and Toya Wilcox.
This again led to television exposure with Kelly performing on the X Factor in 2008. This illustrious career has allowed Kelly to hone her craft and she now travels the world as Dolly performing regularly on P & O cruises as well as corporate clients and theatres. Notable clients include The Ministry of Defence, ITV, the BBC and the Singapore Grand Prix.
