Having chosen to join Jessie J’s team, Becky went on to give stellar performances on the show’s stage, making it to the semi-final stage of the competition. Since then, Becky has become known for her powerful renditions of many of the country’s best loved songs. This includes wonderful performances of David Guetta's She Wolf, Paolo Nutini’s Last Request, Alex Clare’s Too Close and Rudimental’s Not Giving In.
Becky’s powerful vocal performance soon saw her feature on the latter act’s debut album Home, providing an exciting feature for the track Powerless. This success was followed by her contribution to the Wilkinson song Afterglow, a song that performed well on the domestic charts. Becky’s work as a co-writer and vocalist for Oliver Heldens’ Gecko (Overdrive) perhaps saw her achieve her most significant success to date.
Following the song’s journey to the top of the charts, Becky became the first The Voice UK contestant ever to have reached the number one spot. As a result of this success, Becky soon began to acquire a reputation as being one of the most exciting UK singers around. The following years saw Becky further hone her musical skills, releasing her track Losing alongside British producer MNEK.
In addition, Becky also performed songwriting duties for All of the Pieces, a song by Australian recording artist Reigan Derry. Becky’s vocal skills continued to be called upon for features, leading her to find credit as a joint lead artist on French producer Watermät’s track Frequency. Following numerous features and appearances with other artists, Becky’s current musical endeavours are focused on further extending her musical output with her first full-length studio album. Currently at one of the most exciting stages in her career, Becky has recently acquired a record deal with Polydor Records.
As such, her much-anticipated debut album is set to release in 2018. Continually cementing herself as a voice to look out for, Becky Hill’s career in the world of music continues to go from strength to strength.
