Making his comedy debut back in 2010, Gary’s career as a professional comedian began with him performing a solo comedy show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Having blown Scottish crowds away, Gary’s act soon received rave reviews, raising his profile as a comedy performer. Following the increased public attention given to his work, Gary soon came to appear on a number of iconic comedy programmes, including Comedy Central’s Comedy Blue, Dave’s One Night Stand, and the BBC’s Mock the Week.
In addition, Gary featured in the British horror-comedy film Trash House. Achieving success as a professional comedian, Gary soon embarked on a nationwide tour supporting Scottish stand-up legend Jerry Sadowitz. Following the success of his solo show Purist at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he also toured his very own show in 2013. Performing his trademark comic delivery at venues across the country, Gary soon became a familiar face in British comedy.
With vast touring experience behind him, Gary has since performed at some of the country’s most notable comedy venues, including The Comedy Café, Rawhide and The Frog And Bucket. Gary’s comedic success has also seen him write material for a variety of notable comedians, including Micky Flanagan, Ivan Brackenbury and Jason Manford. In addition, he has also written for Kerrang! – a rock music radio station based in Birmingham.
His natural knack for comedy has also seen him perform writing duties for major shows in television broadcasting, including Russell Howard’s Good News. Last but not least, Gary has also appeared as a guest speaker on The News Quiz, a panel quiz show broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
