Leigh Francis is a renowned English television presenter, comedian, actor, and writer, best known for his outrageous and unforgettable comedy persona, Keith Lemon. With a career spanning over two decades, Francis continues to captivate audiences with his unique humour and vibrant energy. His most recent venture, Leigh Francis’ Record Club, is a high-octane live experience featuring classic hits from the '80s to the early 2000s, packed with laugh-out-loud moments, beloved nostalgic characters, and lively audience interaction. Alongside this new project, he remains active on YouTube, sharing sketches reminiscent of Bo’ Selecta! and other fan favourites, and recently completed a live comedy tour, My First Time, in early 2024.
Leigh's rise to fame began with the encouragement of TV personality, Davina McCall, who recognised his talent during a stand-up routine in a southern comedy club. She secured him his first television appearance on Dom and Kirk’s Nite O’ Plenty in 1996, where he played Bobby Stark. From there, he portrayed Barry Gibson on Popworld and developed a series of eccentric characters, most notably Avid Merrion and Keith Lemon, in Whatever I Want and Channel 4’s cult classic Bo’ Selecta!. These early roles laid the foundation for his comedic style—bold, surreal, and irresistibly funny.
Over the years, Francis has achieved widespread acclaim for his work on ITV’s Celebrity Juice, which ran for over a decade, and his quirky take on Through the Keyhole. Other projects include Lemon La Vida Loca, The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, and The Keith & Paddy Picture Show, co-starring Paddy McGuinness. He has also published two books: his autobiography, Leigh, Myself & I and a children's book, The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex. With over 1.7 million Instagram followers, his popularity remains consistently high, supported by a devoted fan base.
Leigh Francis is an exceptional booking for any event. His versatility as a performer, ability to create unforgettable live experiences, and extensive catalogue of beloved characters make him a standout entertainer. Whether you're looking for high-energy nostalgia, interactive comedy, or simply a guaranteed great night out, Leigh Francis' Record Club delivers fun by the bucketload.
