A successful musician and TV presenter, Marvin Humes has enjoyed a fulfilled career in the music and entertainment industry. Making his fortune as a member of the boyband JLS, Marvin has since pursued a solo career as a DJ and TV presenter, headlining events such as the Capital Summertime Ball. As part of JLS, Marvin has claimed two BRIT Awards for Best Breakthrough and British Single and a MOBO Award for Best UK Act. Marvin’s successful career began as part of the band VS, formed by Simon Webbe of Blue. After the band split, Marvin joined Aston, JB and Ortisé and together they formed UFO (Unique Famous Outrageous). As UFO, the four were signed to Tracklacers and later Epic Records, also winning the Urban Music Awards for Best Unsigned Act. In 2008, Marvin and his bandmates auditioned for the X Factor, changing their name to JLS. Reaching the finals of The X Factor, Marvin and his bandmates finished runners up, with Alexandra Burke winning the show. Since then, JLS have released a plethora of great hits, including the songs Everybody In Love, Take A Chance On Me, She Makes Me Wanna, One Shot, Beat Again and The Club Is Alive.
In 2013, JLS disbanded and Marvin pursued a solo career, forming a dance group called LuvBug with The White N3RD and JKAY and releasing singles Resonance and Best Is Yet To Come. He also began presenting a range of TV and radio programmes, including presenting #FridayNightCapital on the Capital radio station and The Vodafone Big Top 40 across Capital and Heart radio stations. He has also presented the Capital Late Show and co-presented One Love Manchester. As a TV presenter, Marvin has co-presented This Morning, Children in Need and The Hit List alongside his wife, Rochelle Humes. He has also been the host of The Voice UK, hosting series three, four and five alongside Emma Willis. He also made headlines as the first male guest presenter of Loose Women, the first male presenter in the show's 21-year history.
Marvin has also created Marvin's Room Records, an initiative that is shining the light on artists that Marvin sees musical potential in and giving them a platform to share their talents. Also a passionate philanthropist, Marvin helped to create the JLS Foundation supporting six charities – Cancer Research UK, MS Society, Childline, BeatBullying, Brook and Rays of Sunshine. Having also acted in Holby City as Robbie Waring, and placed fifth on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! 2023, Marvin is an admired professional with a plethora of successes to his name.
