Based in the North West of England this 7-piece live band is made up of professional musicians with an eye for detail and charismatic stage presence. Each member of Pinked Floyd emulates their icons to a tee. Russell Samuels is the lead vocalist and an incredible guitarist. His voice is second to none and even uses specific equipment to ‘offer the beautiful depth of tone required for the Gilmour and Waters type of vocal sound'. Songs like ‘Great Gig in the Sky’ rely heavily on immense female vocals and Andrea Stewart is the vocalist to fulfil this huge demand.
With training in classical and choral music as well as solo performances at The Bridgewater Hall, she is often the highlight of a Pinked Floyd gig belting out notes like a siren. She has been described as: “the best I have heard since the release of ‘Dark Side of The Moon’.” The backbone of the group emulating Floyd’s drummer, Nick Mason, is Lee Gilburt. This professional’s commitment to Mason goes beyond the music using the drum kit, cymbals, and even the famous Wave of Kanagawa bass skin favoured by Nick Mason. Lee is a true professional who will astound with his timing and execution.
Harry Somers provides rhythm guitar and saxophone. The retired university professor is a consummate professional who provides much-needed support to the leads. Luke Sidell is indispensable, providing the keys, sound effects, and visuals that Pink Floyd are so renowned for. A prolific songwriter in his own right he has over 25 years of experience playing the keyboard. Alan Tarpey has been playing the guitar since the age of 12 and turns out for Pinked Floyd on lead guitar, lap steel, and vocals. His kit sports a custom-built Stratocaster based on Gilmour’s red Stratocaster.
Last, but not least is the young and talented bassist Jack White. He sends deep rhythms through the performance bringing it all together. Together this band put on a show that must be seen to be believed. Amazing venues country-wide; the North-West band for hire are more than their name suggests. Incredible sets spanning the entire discography from ‘Meddle’ to the ‘Division Bell’ are supported by light shows and a stage act that will send fans, old and new, into raptures.
